Instructions to Root Samsung Galaxy S4
1: First of all, download the root package and open it.
2: Run ODIN and then inside the package that you have unzipped, click the ‘PDA’ button to select the file with the ‘.tar.md5’. While doing all this make sure that ‘Repartition’ is unchecked.
3: Now you have to bring your phone to the download mode. To do this first, switch off your phone and hold down together the Volume Down, Home and Power buttons to boot it back up. Once the booting up of the device is done, release the Power button and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
4: And now comes the time to connect your phone to your PC. As the ODIN detects your device, click the start button to begin the flashing process.
After these few easy steps your device would be rooted. As a confirmation sign you will see a red Android on the screen when booting up. But if you don’t see the sign then you have to perform the third step again and this time hold down the Volume Up button instead of Volume Down.
